Free Quote and Estimate Generator: create quotes as PDF
Price a job, set how long the price is valid and download a clean quote or estimate as a PDF. When your client says yes, get it signed and turn it into an invoice in one click.
Your quote never leaves your device. It is created inside your browser and nothing is uploaded to BunnyDoc or anyone else. Your details are stored only in this browser to save you retyping; use “Clear my data” to remove them at any time.
How to write a quote in 4 steps
- 1
Add your details and your client's
Enter your business name, contact details and logo, then who the quote is for.
- 2
Choose quote or estimate
Call it a quote for a fixed price or an estimate for a likely price, and choose how long the price is valid.
- 3
List the work and costs
Add a line for each part of the job with its quantity, rate and tax. Add a discount or delivery, and the total updates as you type.
- 4
Download, sign and invoice
Download the PDF and send it to your client for e-signature. When the job is done, turn the quote into an invoice without retyping.

Quote or estimate: which should you send?
Both tell a client what a job will cost before they agree to it. The difference is how firm the price is.
QuoteEstimate
Price
A fixed price for the work described.
Your best guess. The final price may change.
When to use it
The job is clear and you know your costs.
The job may change once you start, such as repairs.
What the client expects
To pay the quoted price.
To be told before the price goes up much.
Whichever you send, say clearly what is included and what is not, and how long the price is valid.
What to include on a quote
- A quote number and the date, so you can refer to it later.
- Your business details and your client's.
- A clear description of the work, broken into lines with quantities and prices.
- Taxes, discounts and the total, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
- How long the price is valid, for example 30 days, in case your costs change.
- Your terms: deposit, payment terms, what happens if the scope changes.
Get the quote signed before you start
A signed quote is a clear record that your client agreed to the work and the price. With BunnyDoc eSignature you can upload the PDF, add a signature field and send it by email. Your client signs on any device, and you get the signed copy with an audit trail. When the work is done, use “Turn into an invoice” to bill for it in the invoice generator, or send and track invoices with BunnyDoc Invoicing.
Quote and estimate generator FAQs
Is the quote generator free?
Yes. You can create and download as many quotes and estimates as you like for free, with no watermark and no trial period.
Is a quote legally binding?
A quote the client accepts can form a contract, depending on the law where you work. Getting the quote signed gives you a clear record of what was agreed. It is not legal advice, so ask a lawyer if a large job depends on it.
Can I call it an estimate instead?
Yes. Choose Estimate at the top of the form. The title, number label and file name change to Estimate.
How do I get my quote signed?
Download the PDF and click “Send it for e-signature”. With a free BunnyDoc account you upload the quote, add a signature field and email it to your client, who can sign on any device.
Can I turn a quote into an invoice?
Yes. Click “Turn into an invoice” and the client, items, prices and notes are copied into the invoice generator in this browser, with the next invoice number.
How long should a quote be valid for?
30 days is common. Choose a shorter time if your material costs change often. The tool shows a valid-until date worked out from the quote date.
Is my data stored anywhere?
The quote is created in your browser and never uploaded. The form is saved in this browser's local storage on your device. Click “Clear my data” to remove it.
