When to split a PDF
Splitting is useful when you only need to share part of a document: the signature page of a contract, one month from a bank statement, or a single chapter of a report. It also helps when a portal has a file size limit and you need to upload a long document in parts.
Ways to split
- Pick pages: click the pages you want, and they are saved together in one new PDF, in page order.
- Split by ranges: type ranges such as 1-3, 4-6, 7 to get one PDF for each range.
- Every page: each page becomes its own PDF, all downloaded together in a ZIP file.
Want to put pages from several files together instead? Use Merge PDF. To turn pages into images, use PDF to JPG.
