Cerfa 13750 is the French application for a certificat d'immatriculation (vehicle registration certificate, often called the carte grise). It is used when you buy a used vehicle, move, change your name or change the vehicle's technical details. Open the official form from formulaires.service-public.gouv.fr in BunnyDoc's free Sign PDF tool straight from this page, type into its fillable fields, add your signature and the date, and download it. Everything happens in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

How to fill in and sign Cerfa 13750

  1. Get the current form

Download cerfa 13750*07 from formulaires.service-public.gouv.fr using the link on this page, then open it in the Sign PDF tool. Service-Public.fr also has an online helper that fills the same form for you.

  2. Choose the reason for your application

Tick the motif: a new certificate, a duplicate, a correction, a change of address, a change of civil or marital status, or a change of technical characteristics.

  3. Enter the vehicle details

Copy the details from the current registration certificate: registration number (A), date of first registration (B), make (D.1), type (D.2), commercial name (D.3), VIN (E) and national category (J.1). If you bought the vehicle, give the purchase date.

  4. Fill in the holder section

Give the name and address of the person or company the vehicle will be registered to, and any co-holder or leasing details that apply.

  5. Sign, date and keep a copy

Add your signature and the date. Service-Public.fr says to print the form, sign it and keep one signed copy.

  6. Submit your application

Upload the form with your supporting documents on the ANTS website (log in with FranceConnect or France Identité), or give it to a professional authorised by the Ministry of the Interior. You must apply within 1 month of buying a used vehicle.

What you need before you start

  • The current registration certificate, signed by the seller with "vendu le" or "cédé le", the date and time, if you bought a used vehicle.
  • The code de cession the seller received from ANTS, or the certificate's formula number and issue date.
  • The certificat de cession (cerfa 15776) signed by both parties.
  • Proof of address less than 6 months old and an identity document.
  • A contrôle technique (roadworthiness test) report less than 6 months old if the vehicle needs one.
  • A sworn statement that you hold insurance and a driving licence for the vehicle category.

Online or through a professional

The explanatory notice 51291 describes two routes: filing online with ANTS, or through an authorised motor professional. Online, you pay the taxes by bank card and print a certificat provisoire d'immatriculation (CPI), valid for one month in France until the final certificate arrives by post. A professional charges their own service fee. If you have no scanner or smartphone, prefectures and France Services offices have digital help points (points numériques).

Common mistakes

  • Missing the 1-month deadline after buying a used vehicle.
  • Copying vehicle details that do not match the current certificate.
  • Sending a contrôle technique report that is more than 6 months old.
  • Forgetting to sign the form or to keep a signed copy.
