How to fill in and sign Cerfa 15776
Check the registration certificate
Only the owner can sell. The certificate must be in the seller's name, and all co-holders must sign.
Fill in the vehicle and seller sections
The seller enters the vehicle details and their own identity and address.
Fill in the buyer section with the date and time
The buyer enters their identity and address, and the date and time of the sale are added.
Sign two copies
Seller and buyer sign both copies. The seller keeps copy 1 and gives copy 2 to the buyer.
Hand over the other documents
Give the buyer the registration certificate crossed out and marked "vendu le" with the date, time and signature, the certificat de situation administrative (less than 15 days old, free from HistoVec), the contrôle technique report if required (less than 6 months old) and the code de cession.
Declare the sale on ANTS within 15 days
The seller declares the sale on the ANTS website within 15 days, which gives a code de cession valid for 15 days, and tells their insurer.
What you need before you start
- The registration certificate in the seller's name.
- The buyer's full name, sex, date and place of birth and address.
- A certificat de situation administrative from HistoVec dated less than 15 days before the sale.
- A contrôle technique report less than 6 months old for cars, vans and motorhomes over 4 years old, or two- and three-wheelers and quads over 5 years old.

Common mistakes
- Forgetting to write the date and time of the sale.
- Not declaring the sale on ANTS within 15 days.
- Detaching the coupon from the registration certificate. The seller fills in the buyer's name on its back and gives the whole certificate.
- Giving a contrôle technique report that is too old.
