What if I don't submit Form 124?
The Income Tax Department's Form 124 FAQs say that without it, your employer deducts TDS without allowing these deductions or exemptions. You do not need Form 124 for the standard deduction. If you changed jobs during the year, also give your current employer the details of your income and TDS from the previous employer in Form No. 122.
Common mistakes
