The Weiterbewilligungsantrag (WBA) is the form for continuing Grundsicherungsgeld, formerly Bürgergeld, when your current approval period ends. People already receiving support use it after the Jobcenter writes to tell them the period is ending. Open the official form from arbeitsagentur.de in BunnyDoc's free Sign PDF tool straight from this page, type into its fillable fields, add your signature and date, and download it. The PDF is handled in your browser and never leaves your device.

How to fill in and sign WBA

  1. Header and personal details (section A)

Enter the month your current approval period ends, then your name, date of birth and household (Bedarfsgemeinschaft) number in questions 1 to 4.

  2. Housing (section B)

Confirm your address and who lives with you, including anyone who lives there only part of the time (questions 5 to 10).

  3. Housing costs (section C)

Give your current rent, service charges and heating costs, or for owner-occupiers the loan interest and running costs (questions 11 to 15).

  4. Household income (section D)

Report income from work, self-employment (with Anlage EKS), volunteer allowances, other benefits and other income such as rent or platform earnings for everyone in the household (questions 16 to 22).

  5. Other changes (section E)

Tell the Jobcenter about expected changes, claims against third parties, accidents caused by others and anything you have not yet reported (questions 23 to 26).

  6. Sign and submit (sections F and G)

Add Anlage VM and bank statements for the last three months for every account, sign and date section G, and post or hand it to your Jobcenter, or apply online at jobcenter.digital.

What you need before you start

  • The Jobcenter letter telling you your approval period is ending.
  • Bank statements for the last three months for all accounts of everyone in the household, without gaps.
  • Payslips or other proof of income received.
  • Any new rental or service charge documents.
  • Anlage VM, completed once for the household.

Online or paper?

The Jobcenter recommends applying online at jobcenter.digital, where you can upload documents. Paper is also accepted by post or in person, and you can even apply by phone. Do not send original documents; paper documents are scanned and destroyed after 8 weeks.

Common mistakes

  • Waiting until after the approval period has ended.
  • Sending bank statements with gaps or for only some accounts.
  • Forgetting income of other household members.
  • Sending originals instead of copies.

WBA: frequently asked questions

When should I send the Weiterbewilligungsantrag?

When your approval period is ending and the Jobcenter has written to you about it. Send it before the period ends so payments continue.

Where do I send it?

To your Jobcenter, by post or in person, or online at jobcenter.digital.

Can I sign the Weiterbewilligungsantrag electronically?
