When to turn a PDF into images

Images are easier to use than PDFs in many places: a slide deck, a website, a chat message, a social post, or an online form that only accepts JPG or PNG uploads. Converting a page to JPG lets you show a document, certificate or receipt anywhere an image is accepted.

Keep in mind that a JPG is a picture of the page, so its text can't be selected or edited. Keep the original PDF if you need that. To reduce the size of a PDF instead of converting it, use Compress PDF.
