Form TD1ON, the 2026 Ontario Personal Tax Credits Return, is the provincial companion to the federal TD1. Your employer or payer uses it to work out the Ontario income tax to deduct from your pay or pension. Open the official form from canada.ca in BunnyDoc's free Sign PDF tool straight from this page, type into its fillable fields, add your signature and date, and download it. Everything happens in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

How to fill in and sign Form TD1ON

  1. Check that you need it

Fill in TD1ON if you work in Ontario or are a pensioner living in Ontario and you have a new employer or payer, want to change the amounts you claimed, or want more tax deducted.

  2. Claim the basic personal amount (line 1)

The 2026 Ontario basic personal amount on line 1 is $12,989.

  3. Add other Ontario credits (lines 2 to 9)

Lines 2 to 9 cover the age amount, pension income amount, disability amount, spouse or common-law partner amount, eligible dependant amount, Ontario caregiver amount and amounts transferred from a spouse or dependant.

  4. Total your claim (line 10) and check page 2

Add your claims on line 10. On page 2, tick the box if you have more than one employer or payer at the same time, or if your total income will be less than your claim.

  5. Sign, date and give it to your employer or payer

Sign the certification and give the form to your employer or payer, together with your federal TD1. Do not send it to the CRA.

What you need before you start

  • Your Social Insurance Number and address.
  • An estimate of your 2026 income from all sources.
  • Details of any Ontario credits you will claim, such as the age amount or a dependant.
  • Your federal TD1, which you usually fill in at the same time.

More than one job at the same time

The form says that if you already claimed your Ontario credits on another TD1ON for 2026, you cannot claim them again. Enter 0 on line 10 and do not fill in lines 2 to 9. To have less tax deducted for items not on this form, use Form T1213 to ask the CRA for a letter of authority. To have more deducted, use the federal TD1.

Common mistakes

  • Claiming the Ontario basic personal amount with two employers at the same time.
  • Giving only the federal TD1 when your employer asked for TD1ON too.
  • Using the form for a province you do not work in.
  • Not signing the certification.
