Is electronic signature legal in New Zealand?
Yes. Part 4 of New Zealand's Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 lets an electronic signature meet a legal signature requirement if it reliably identifies the signer and shows approval, and the recipient consents. Wills, affidavits, statutory declarations, documents given on oath and powers of attorney are excluded.
